Hotel Black Car Service on Siesta Key

Eight miles of quartz sand off Sarasota, reached by two bridges — one of which lifts. The island divides cleanly into three stretches, and which one you book changes the journey more than the postcode suggests.

Two Bridges

Siesta Drive in the north, Stickney Point in the south.

Those are the only two ways on and off Siesta Key. Siesta Drive serves the Village end; Stickney Point Road serves Crescent Beach and everything south. Stickney Point is a drawbridge, and when it opens the only alternative is the length of Midnight Pass Road and the other bridge.

SRQ is roughly 20 to 25 minutes in normal conditions — genuinely close — and TPA about an hour and a quarter. We choose the bridge on the day rather than by habit, and schedule departures on the assumption that the span might be up.

  • Bridge chosen on the day, not by default
  • SRQ at roughly 20–25 min; TPA about 1h15
  • Departures carry drawbridge margin

Three Stretches, Not One Island

Village, Crescent Beach, Turtle Beach.

Siesta Key Village at the north end has the restaurants, the bars and the public beach with its famous quartz sand — busy, walkable, and hard to park in. Crescent Beach in the middle has the same sand with a fraction of the crowd and Point of Rocks at its southern end. Turtle Beach at the far south is coarser, darker sand, a boat ramp and almost nobody.

Those are genuinely different holidays and genuinely different drives — Turtle Beach adds five to ten minutes to every airport run over the Village end. The pages below are written to the stretch each property actually sits on.

  • Village: walkable, busy, limited parking
  • Crescent Beach: same sand, quieter, Point of Rocks
  • Turtle Beach: the far south, and further out
  • Transit time stated per stretch, not per island
What Needs a Car

Less than people book a rental for.

Sarasota County runs the free Siesta Key Breeze trolley the length of the island, and the beach is usually a walk. Between them, a hire car on Siesta Key spends most of the week in one of a limited number of parking spaces.

The trips that genuinely need a vehicle are the airport at each end, an evening in the Village with a booked return, and the mainland — downtown Sarasota, the Ringling and St. Armands Circle, all 20 to 30 minutes over a bridge and all much easier arrived at than parked at.

  • Airport legs and the mainland trips
  • Village evenings with a pre-booked return
  • Supermarket stops for self-catering properties
  • Siesta Key Palms reused, not duplicated

Every Siesta Key hotel we run black car service to.

Each property has its own page covering airport transfers, hourly hire and the particular things that make arriving there different. If yours is not listed, we almost certainly still serve it — book through the standard flow and tell us the address.

Airports & the Fleet

Which airport, and what turns up.

Every transfer runs in a Mercedes-Benz E 350 sedan or a GMC Yukon SUV with a professional chauffeur, with the flight tracked against the landing that actually happened. Private arrivals are met inside the FBO rather than at a kerb.

Max Luxury Limo is an independent chauffeur company and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a preferred provider for any hotel listed on this page.

FAQ

Siesta Key Hotel Black Car Service — FAQ

How long is the transfer from SRQ to Siesta Key?
Roughly 20 to 25 minutes in normal conditions, which makes it one of the shorter island transfers on this coast. TPA is about an hour and a quarter. Both assume the Stickney Point drawbridge is down — when it opens, the only way round is the length of the island and the Siesta Drive bridge.
Which part of Siesta Key should we stay in?
Siesta Key Village at the north end is walkable to restaurants and the public beach but busy and hard to park in. Crescent Beach in the middle has the same quartz sand with far fewer people and Point of Rocks for snorkelling. Turtle Beach at the far south is quietest, with coarser sand — and adds five to ten minutes to every airport run.
Do we need a hire car on Siesta Key?
Usually not. The free Siesta Key Breeze trolley runs the length of the island and the beach is generally a walk. A car earns its place for the airport legs, a Village evening with a booked return, and mainland trips to Sarasota, the Ringling or St. Armands.
What makes the sand different?
Siesta Beach's sand is almost pure quartz rather than crushed shell, which is why it is unusually white and stays cool enough to walk on barefoot in the afternoon. It is the reason the beach repeatedly tops national rankings.
Do you also cover Siesta Key Palms Resort?
Yes. It sits by the Stickney Point bridge and already has its own page in the Sarasota cluster, which it keeps — we list it here rather than creating a second page for the same property.
