Moffitt is a national destination — the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center based in Florida — so most patients arrive from out of town, often for extended treatment. We meet your flight at Tampa International, handle the luggage, and drive directly to the correct Moffitt campus and entrance in north Tampa, about 25–30 minutes away. No rental counter, no rideshare hunt after a long travel day.

During Treatment

The daily ride, and the wait-and-return.

Treatment courses at Moffitt often run for weeks, and hotel shuttle service is limited. We become the standing ride: hotel to Moffitt in the morning, wait-and-return during the appointment, and back to the hotel after — the same chauffeur where possible, so it’s a familiar face on a hard day. Everything on the transportation side is handled; the care stays entirely with your team at Moffitt.

What is the best way to get to Moffitt Cancer Center from the airport?
A pre-booked chauffeured transfer is the most comfortable and reliable option. Moffitt’s main Magnolia campus sits on the USF campus in north Tampa, about 16 miles from Tampa International (TPA) — roughly a 25–30 minute drive. We meet you at baggage claim, handle the luggage, and take you directly to the correct campus entrance.
Can the car wait during my appointment at Moffitt?
Yes — wait-and-return is one of our most requested arrangements at Moffitt, because appointment lengths vary. Your chauffeur stays on-site and drives you back when you’re ready, rather than you arranging a fresh ride afterward. For recurring visits we can set up a standing reservation with the same chauffeur.
Do you provide daily transportation from my hotel to Moffitt?
Yes. Many patients stay near Moffitt for weeks of treatment, and hotel shuttle coverage is limited. We run the daily hotel-to-Moffitt transfer on your schedule — including the partner hotels along the Fletcher Avenue / I-75 corridor — so the trip to and from care is one less thing to think about.
Is this a medical transport service?
No — we are a luxury ground-transportation company, not a medical provider. We do not give medical care or advice. We are also not a Medicaid non-emergency medical transport, ambulette or wheelchair-van service; for those needs we refer you to a specialized medical-transport partner. We provide comfortable, private, discreet transportation for people who can travel seated.
Can you keep the vehicle clean and private for an immunocompromised passenger?
Yes. We use clean, well-maintained private vehicles — never a shared van — so a single party travels alone, which many patients prefer for privacy and comfort during treatment. If you have specific preferences for your ride, tell us when you book and we’ll accommodate them on the transportation side.
