A museum estate up the road and three keys to choose from.
The Ringling — the art museum, Ca' d'Zan and the circus museum — sits just north on the Tamiami Trail and is the single best half-day in Sarasota for a family. Parking is manageable; being dropped is simpler.
The beaches are the other draw: Lido across the Ringling Causeway, Siesta Key south with its famously white sand, Longboat further north. All three fill their car parks by mid-morning in season, which is the argument for being driven.
Siesta Key public parking fills early and the access roads back up. A drop and an agreed collection turns the hardest part of the day into someone else's problem.
