Close to everything, with nowhere to stop.
The Cordova sits in the middle of the downtown street grid, a short walk from Beach Drive, the waterfront parks and the museum district. Guests here walk almost everywhere during the day, which is precisely why the trips that remain — the airport legs and the evenings further out — are the ones worth getting right.
The streets immediately around the hotel are narrow and largely metered, so the pickup point matters more than the postcode. The chauffeur arrives ahead of time and holds; if the frontage is taken, you get a named corner rather than an instruction to find the car.
- Chauffeur in position before the booking time
- A specific named pickup point when the kerb is full
- Luggage carried from the lobby
- Early departures for first flights from either airport
02 / A Bigger Hotel Than It Was
The 2026 expansion changed the shape of the demand.
The property spent decades as a small historic inn. A multi-year expansion opened in 2026, adding a substantial second building alongside the original along with ground-floor and rooftop venues open to the public — which means more rooms, more groups and more people arriving for something rather than just staying.
For transport that shifts the work from single airport runs toward coordinated movements: wedding parties, small conferences and event guests arriving across a short window. Those are scheduled against a running order, not booked one car at a time.
Venues open to the public draw people who are not staying at the hotel. Evening groups coming in from elsewhere downtown or from the beaches are easier handled as a planned return trip than as a scramble at closing time.
St. Petersburg hotel transportationPIE across town, TPA across the bay, the Gulf to the west.
St. Pete–Clearwater is the closer airport and the quicker transfer; Tampa International is across the bay and carries most of the longer routes. Private arrivals are met at the Signature or Sheltair FBO at PIE.
Westward, St. Pete Beach and the Gulf are roughly twenty minutes over the causeway, which makes a downtown base and a beach afternoon a comfortable pairing rather than a logistical decision.
- PIE and TPA both served from one desk
- FBO meets at St. Pete–Clearwater
- St. Pete Beach day trips over the causeway
- Flight tracked to actual landing
The Car & the Chauffeur
A detailed sedan or SUV, and a chauffeur who waits.
Every The Cordova Inn transfer runs in a Mercedes-Benz E 350 sedan or a GMC Yukon SUV, cleaned before it leaves and driven by a chauffeur in coat and tie. Flights are tracked against the actual landing rather than the schedule, so a delay moves the pickup instead of costing you the car, and the driver meets you rather than texting a plate number from a garage.
- Mercedes-Benz E 350 sedan — up to 3 passengers
- GMC Yukon SUV — up to 6 passengers and luggage
- Flight tracked; wait time built into airport pickups
- One dispatch desk for multi-car and multi-day movements
