Sarasota–Bradenton International Airport to IMG Academy
The closest commercial airport to the campus, and the one Legacy Hotel itself points guests at. A small terminal with a short walk from gate to kerb, which is the difference that matters when a family lands with a tired fourteen-year-old and four bags of kit.
Tampa International Airport to IMG Academy
Our home airport, and the one most long-haul and connecting itineraries route through. It is a longer drive south than SRQ, which is worth deciding on deliberately rather than discovering after booking a fare — we meet arrivals at baggage claim on Level 1 and track the flight, so a delay moves the pickup instead of losing it.
St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport to IMG Academy
A small airport north of the bay, used mostly by low-cost and seasonal carriers. Terminal-to-kerb is quick, and for families who found a cheaper seat into PIE the drive south is a straightforward run we do regularly.
Orlando International Airport to IMG Academy
Across the state to the east, and often where the international fare lands. It is the longest of the four runs by a clear margin — a private car is the practical option when the alternative is a connection, a rental counter and an unfamiliar cross-state drive after a long flight.
Choosing
Which airport is best for IMG Academy?
Sarasota–Bradenton (SRQ) is the closest, and if the fare is reasonable it is the easy answer — it is the airport Legacy Hotel itself points guests toward, the terminal is small, and the walk from gate to kerb is short. After a long travel day with a teenager and a bag of kit, that matters more than most people expect.
Tampa International (TPA) carries far more routes and is where most connecting and long-haul itineraries land. It is a longer drive, and it is our home airport — we meet arrivals at baggage claim and track the inbound flight, so a delay moves the pickup rather than costing you it.
St. Pete–Clearwater (PIE) is worth checking if you are flying a low-cost carrier, and Orlando International (MCO) is often where the international fare lands. MCO is the longest run of the four by a wide margin, which is exactly when a private car earns its place — the alternative is a connection or an unfamiliar cross-state drive at the end of a long flight.
One honest caveat: we do not control airline schedules or fares, and we cannot tell you which airport will be cheapest on your dates. What we can tell you is that all four are routine runs for us, and you can price each one here before you commit to a ticket.

We deliberately do not tell every passenger to use the same gate. Camps, boarding programmes, school terms, tournaments and appointments each have their own check-in point and their own instructions, and those instructions come from IMG Academy — not from us. Confirm your check-in location with the Academy or with your programme contact, then tell us at booking and the chauffeur will take you straight there.
If you are staying on the campus edge at Legacy Hotel at IMG Academy, the hotel is the simplest drop point and the walk to campus is short.

Parents travelling with a student-athlete
The common booking: a family in for a week of matches, a campus tour or a term drop-off. One car from the terminal to the campus or hotel, with the bags handled.
Juniors flying in
Some arrivals are teenagers travelling without a parent, with the family booking from another time zone. Tell us at the time of booking so the arrangement is set up properly in advance rather than improvised at the kerb.
Coaches and recruiters
A recruiting day is rarely one stop. Multi-venue days and collections that move when a fixture overruns are normal here, and easier to plan than to improvise.
On luggage and equipment: our fleet is a GMC Yukon SUV and a Mercedes-Benz sedan, and the booking page shows each vehicle’s seat and bag capacity before you choose. The SUV is the sensible pick for a family with checked bags and a racquet or stick bag. We cannot promise that every oversized item will fit — a full hockey kit, a golf travel case and four passengers is a real constraint, not a formality — so tell us what you are carrying when you book and we will tell you honestly whether it works or whether you need a second vehicle.

Going Home

The trip back to the airport is booked the same way, with the campus or the hotel as the pickup. A visit of any length usually needs more than two transfers — a rest day away from the fields, a second venue, an early departure the morning after a final — and those are ordinary point-to-point bookings rather than anything special.
Fixtures overrun. If a match runs long, move the pickup rather than leaving early; that is a phone call, not a problem.
