Tampa vs Canaveral

Know which port your ship actually sails from.

Tampa hosts Royal Caribbean’s smaller ships; the giants do not fit. Oasis-class and the newest mega-ships — Star of the Seas, Utopia of the Seas — clear too little air draft for the Sunshine Skyway and homeport at Port Canaveral, about 2.5 hours east. If your booking is a mega-ship, you want the Port Canaveral run, not Tampa. Check your ship name against your terminal before you plan the transfer, and we will route you correctly either way.
