Lakewood Ranch Wedding Venue Transportation

One chauffeur desk for the master-planned east — the gated Concession Golf Club and the Main Street ballroom at GROVE. There are no hotels inside the venues here, so the whole job is the connection: getting guests in cleanly from where they actually stay, in Sarasota and Bradenton, across the I-75 corridor and the long club drives.

Lakewood Ranch Wedding Venues

A short, curated list — and long private drives.

Lakewood Ranch keeps its signature weddings to a handful of settings: a championship golf club and a Main Street ballroom. We drive to both — naming a venue is never a claim of partnership.

The Concession Golf Club

Jack Nicklaus–designed private club with a grand clubhouse, gated off Lorraine Road.

The Ballroom at GROVE

Modern ballroom above the GROVE restaurant at Lakewood Ranch Main Street.

No On-Site Hotel — The Shuttle Is Everything

The venues are here; the beds are not.

Lakewood Ranch is residential and club country, without a wedding hotel on the grounds, so guests almost always stay off-site — downtown Sarasota, on Longboat Key, or over in Bradenton. That makes the guest shuttle the heart of the plan rather than an add-on: a continuous loop from the room-block hotel out to the club, timed against the I-75 and Lorraine/University Parkway corridor, keeps a rural-feeling venue from becoming a parking problem.

  • Room blocks usually in Sarasota or Bradenton
  • Continuous shuttle loop out to the club
  • Guest arrivals met at Sarasota (SRQ) and Tampa (TPA)
Anchor the room block first

Because guests stay in Sarasota or Bradenton, we usually build a Lakewood Ranch wedding around the Sarasota hotels — the Ritz-Carlton, the St. Regis Longboat Key or a downtown property — and run the loop out from there. Start with the Sarasota venue hub to pick the base.

Gates, Guards & Long Drives

What a Lakewood Ranch venue asks of the fleet.

Gated club access

The Concession runs a manned gate and a long entry drive; we send the guest and vehicle list ahead so shuttles clear security without a line building at the gatehouse.

Main Street precision

The Ballroom at GROVE sits above a working restaurant on Lakewood Ranch Main Street — we land drops at the right entrance and cycle vehicles rather than idling the street.

Distance to the beds

With guests staying twenty to forty minutes away, the shuttle count and timing matter more here than at a walkable venue — we size the loop to the real drive, not the map.

Lakewood Ranch Wedding Venue Transportation — FAQ

Which Lakewood Ranch wedding venues do you drive to?
The area’s two signature settings — The Concession Golf Club, a gated Nicklaus-designed private club off Lorraine Road, and The Ballroom at GROVE on Lakewood Ranch Main Street. We plan the arrival, the gate clearance and the shuttle loop for each individually.
Is there a hotel at the Lakewood Ranch venues?
No — Lakewood Ranch is residential and club country without a wedding hotel on the grounds, so guests stay off-site. Most block rooms in downtown Sarasota, on Longboat Key or over in Bradenton, and the guest shuttle from that hotel becomes the core of the plan rather than an add-on.
Where should we put our room block for a Lakewood Ranch wedding?
Usually Sarasota or Bradenton. We commonly anchor the block at a Sarasota hotel — the Ritz-Carlton, the St. Regis Longboat Key or a downtown property — and run a continuous shuttle out to the club, a twenty-to-forty-minute drive depending on the base. Start from our Sarasota venue hub to choose the hotel.
How do you get shuttles through The Concession’s security gate?
The Concession runs a manned gate and a long private entry drive, so we send the guest list, vehicle details and timing ahead of the day. That lets the shuttles clear security in sequence rather than stacking up at the gatehouse while guests wait.
How many shuttles will a Lakewood Ranch wedding need?
It depends on guest count and how far the room block sits — distance matters more here than at a walkable venue. A rule of thumb is one 14-passenger shuttle per forty to fifty guests on a continuous loop, but a longer drive from Sarasota can call for an extra vehicle to keep the loop tight. We size it to the real drive time.
