Tampa Riverwalk
A waterfront walk connecting some of Downtown Tampa's best parks, museums, dining and attractions.
Why Go
The Tampa Riverwalk is the city's signature waterfront promenade along the Hillsborough River — a roughly 2.6-mile path linking Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, the Tampa Museum of Art, the Glazer Children's Museum, the Tampa Bay History Center, the Straz Center, Water Street and Waterworks Park into one continuous, shaded route. For a visitor with limited time downtown, it's the most efficient way to see the city on foot without getting back in a car between stops.
Help Me Choose
Walk the stretch between Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and the Tampa Museum of Art — an easy photo-stop section with no need to commit to the full path.
Follow the Riverwalk from the Convention Center area past the Straz Center to Waterworks Park, pausing at the museums and parks along the way — a bike or scooter rental covers the full path comfortably.
MAX Insider Tip — The Riverwalk runs directly past Water Street and Benchmark International Arena (formerly Amalie Arena) — easy to combine with either on the same walk.
