Why We Picked It
Michael "Frenchy" Preston opened his first Clearwater Beach cafe in 1981; Rockaway Grill is the largest of the four Frenchy's locations that followed, with open-air seating right on the sand and the grouper sandwich that made the name. It's touristy by now — busy, no secret — but it's still the easiest good beachfront meal on this stretch of sand.
