MAX Insider Guide
Coffee Near Where You’re Staying
Chosen for genuine walkability from where visitors actually stay — not the highest-rated shop in the county.
Downtown Tampa / Water Street
Listed directly on Water Street Tampa's own site as a Sparkman Wharf tenant — about as close to doorstep coffee as it gets for guests at the Water Street hotels. Roasts on-site, open 7am–8pm daily, right along the waterfront walk.
Tip — Pair it with a walk along the Tampa Riverwalk right next door.
A roughly 10–12 minute walk into the historic downtown core from Water Street — an easy add-on toward Tampa Theatre and the Riverwalk, and a genuine local institution rather than a chain.
Tip — This location is weekdays-only, 7:30am–3pm, and closed weekends.
Downtown St. Petersburg
By Kahwa's own description, a couple of blocks from The Vinoy and the downtown waterfront parks — genuinely walkable from the hotel core and the walk out to North Straub Park and the Pier.
Tip — Opens at 6am weekdays (7am weekends) — good before a sunrise waterfront walk.
Roughly a 15-minute walk from the Beach Drive hotel core — not doorstep-close, but a well-loved St. Pete institution worth the walk into the EDGE District.
Tip — Open 8am–midnight most days, so it doubles as a nightcap stop on the same visit.
Clearwater Beach
Genuinely on the beach itself, second floor of Pelican Walk Plaza right on Mandalay Avenue — the same strip as the beach's hotels and the Pier 60 walk.
Tip — It's a second-floor spot — look for the stairway up from Mandalay Ave.
Downtown Sarasota
Sits directly on the same walkable Main Street strip as most Downtown Sarasota hotels — straightforward, well-reviewed espresso and breakfast.
Tip — Closed Sundays; closes early (2pm) Saturdays.
A fixture of Downtown Sarasota's Main Street within walking distance of the downtown hotel cluster — own-label coffee alongside locally known muffins, cookies, and a full breakfast case.
